Leifeld's many years of experience in the manufacture of automatic machinery are incorporated in the design of this newly developed lathe. Special importance has been attached to the lathe being able to cope with the heavy demands of series production on an industrial basis and to guarantee high repeat accuracy of the machine settings in the interest of short setting-up times.
Special features of the lathe include:
The cross slide supported over its entire length at the rear of the lathe; longitudinal feed by hydraulic cylinder with a very accu-rate, viscosity-independent, infinitely variable speed control; infinitely variable contact pres-sure for easy matching to various materials with their different properties; the bed block for the slide vibration-free and extending down to the floor; the numerous attachments available for the lathe, where equipment for special purposes can be developed by the user if required; with mobile control console or fixed control panel.
